This Privacy Policy describes how WoBazi (“WoBazi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use wobazi.com and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Who we are
WoBazi is a web application that calculates BaZi (Four Pillars of Destiny) charts from birth data and may generate interpretive readings using third-party AI providers. Contact: hello@wobazi.com.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account information — If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile photo as permitted by Google.
- Birth and profile data — Date of birth (required for a reading), and optional time of birth, birth city, name, gender, and blood type.
- Communications — Messages you send to the Oracle chat and any other content you submit.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Session data — A signed session cookie so we can keep you logged in.
- Usage and device data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from IP, collected via analytics (Google Analytics) and server logs.
- Local storage — Language preference and similar settings stored in your browser.
2.3 Information we do not require
You may use the calculator as a guest without creating an account. Guest readings are processed in your browser session and are not saved to an account unless you sign in.
3. How we use information
- To calculate your BaZi chart and generate readings, scores, and related insights.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including debugging and security.
- To save your reading and chat history to your account when you are signed in.
- To communicate with you about the Service, if you contact us or we are legally required to do so.
- To measure usage with analytics so we can understand how the Service is used.
- To comply with law, enforce our Terms, and protect the rights and safety of users and WoBazi.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process personal data on the following bases: performance of a contract (providing the reading you request); consent (optional fields, analytics where required, and marketing if we ever send it); legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service, preventing abuse); and legal obligation.
5. AI processing
Personalized daily readings and Oracle replies may be generated by third-party AI providers (currently DeepSeek and Google Gemini). We send them the chart context needed to produce a response (for example, pillar data and your question). Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. Do not submit information you would not want processed by those services.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in. We also use Google Analytics, which may set cookies or similar identifiers. You can control cookies in your browser. Blocking the session cookie will prevent sign-in from working.
7. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers who help us operate the Service (hosting, analytics, authentication via Google, AI generation), under contractual limits.
- When you direct us to (for example, using a share feature you initiate).
- If required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy or notice to you.
8. International transfers
We and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
9. Retention
Account data, saved readings, and chat history are kept until you delete them or close your account, or until we no longer need them to provide the Service or meet legal obligations. Server logs and analytics are kept for a limited period. Guest data is not stored in an account.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures (including HTTPS and signed, HTTP-only session cookies) to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email hello@wobazi.com. You may also sign out and, if signed in with Google, revoke access from your Google account settings. You may have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
12. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Third-party links and logins
Google sign-in is governed by Google’s terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services.
14. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date and, if changes are material, provide additional notice as required by law. Continued use after the update means you accept the revised Policy.
